Job Title: UX/Product Designer – Front-end Tooling & Data Visualization Location: Chennai, India Department: Product Design/UX Reports To: Product Manager/Head of Design Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a UX/Product Designer to lead the design and user experience for internal front-end tooling, with a particular emphasis on data visualization, software inventory, and contract management tools. You will play a key role in assessing tooling needs, crafting user journeys, defining visual reporting interfaces, and shaping MVP-ready design specifications for frontend teams. Key Responsibilities Tooling Assessment: Analyze current front-end tooling landscape and identify design and UX gaps for technical and business users. UX Research & Design: Conduct stakeholder interviews and user research to understand workflows, pain points, and reporting needs. Design intuitive user journeys that guide users through complex software inventory and contract management tasks. Visual Reporting Design: Create dashboards and reports for rich data visualization, ensuring clarity, usability, and responsiveness. Work with engineering and data teams to align visual designs with available data and metrics. MVP Definition: Define front-end requirements and UX scope for MVP launches in collaboration with product managers and developers. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design documentation for quick iteration and feedback loops. Collaboration: Work closely with front-end engineers, product owners, and business analysts to implement and refine designs. Conduct design reviews, user testing, and incorporate feedback to improve usability and performance. Design System Compliance: Ensure UI/UX adheres to brand and accessibility standards, and promote consistency across platforms. Required Qualifications 5+ years of UX/Product Design experience, ideally in enterprise tooling or data-heavy applications. Proven experience designing dashboards, reporting tools, or admin interfaces. Strong proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, Axure). Experience with designing for complex workflows and enterprise applications. Strong understanding of HTML/CSS fundamentals and familiarity with front-end development practices.
