Description
Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers in physical, virtual, or cloud environments. Perform regular system updates, kernel patching, and OS-level security configurations. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to CPU, memory, storage, and networking. Automate routine tasks using shell scripting or configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible). Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems (LVM, NFS, etc.). Maintain system documentation and support disaster recovery plans. Work closely with application teams to ensure optimal performance and availability. Support compliance with security policies and conduct vulnerability remediation. Kubernetes admin: Install, configure, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters or OpenShift Cluster (on-premise or in cloud environments like IBM Cloud, AWS, ROSA etc). Manage cluster resources, namespaces, RBAC, ingress controllers, and storage classes. Monitor cluster health and node performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack. Automate deployment processes using Helm and CI/CD pipelines (Tekton/Jenkins). Implement and enforce security best practices (Pod Security Policies, Network Policies, Secrets management). Troubleshoot pod/container issues and optimize application deployments. Coordinate with DevOps, Development, and Security teams to support workloads and service mesh integrations (Istio, Envoy, Consul).
