Job Title: Senior MSSQL Developer – 6+ Years Experience Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Developer with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server . The ideal candidate will be proficient in T-SQL , have deep experience with stored procedures, triggers, views, indexing , and demonstrate a strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and integration with applications. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance T-SQL code including stored procedures, views, functions, triggers , and scripts . Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to support business logic and reporting requirements. Optimize and tune SQL queries and database structures to improve performance. Work closely with application developers to integrate backend SQL functionality with front-end applications. Participate in data modeling and schema design for new and existing applications. Implement and manage indexing strategies , partitions , and table structures to support scalability and maintainability. Support and maintain ETL processes using SSIS or other data integration tools. Conduct code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices. Ensure data integrity , security, and performance across environments. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, query bottlenecks, and logic errors. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 6+ years of development experience with Microsoft SQL Server . Expertise in Transact-SQL (T-SQL) , including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions. Strong understanding of relational database concepts , data normalization , and data integrity principles. Experience with SQL Server tools such as SSMS, SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and Query Store. Working knowledge of SSIS for data migration and transformation. Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git, TFS). Ability to analyze query performance and optimize accordingly. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI . Exposure to Azure SQL Database or cloud-based SQL services. Knowledge of DevOps practices , CI/CD integration for database changes. Microsoft certification (e.g., MCSA: SQL Server , MCSE: Data Management ). Experience with JSON, XML , and integration of SQL with APIs or web services. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication.
