Job Description for a Medical Coder Trainee position targeting Life Science Graduates : Job Title: Medical Coder Trainee Location: Noida Employment Type: Full-time Any coding training will also work Night shift Min exp : 1Month Job Summary: We are looking for Life Science Graduates who are passionate about building a career in the healthcare industry as Medical Coder Trainees . The selected candidates will undergo training in medical coding practices, including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines , and compliance with healthcare regulations. Roles & Responsibilities: Learn and apply ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding principles for healthcare claims processing. Review and analyze medical records, diagnoses, and procedures to assign appropriate codes. Ensure accuracy and compliance with medical coding guidelines and industry regulations. Assist in auditing medical records for proper coding and documentation. Work closely with senior medical coders, quality analysts, and team leads. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and other compliance requirements. Stay updated with coding guidelines, payer policies, and industry standards . Eligibility Criteria: Education: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Nursing, Pharmacy (B.Pharm/M.Pharm), or other healthcare-related fields . Freshers Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology . Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to learn and adapt quickly. Basic knowledge of healthcare insurance and revenue cycle management is a plus. Training & Certification: Selected candidates will receive comprehensive training in medical coding.
