Job description: Data Center Operations Manager Position Overview: The Manager, Data Center Operations has overall responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating activities pertaining to the day-to-day support of the data centers. He is responsible for managing the team that develops and carries out data center infrastructure technology projects. Responsibilities: · Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators, and routinely reviewing the ticket queue for large events and address accordingly. · Guide, train, and educate data operations technicians on the best practices related to all service owner issues · Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs · Manage a diverse team of data technicians with varying skills · Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations · Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels · Write and deliver performance reviews for staff · Constantly improving all our processes and procedures. We believe there is nothing we cannot improve! · Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors. · Ensuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centers. · Creating and maintaining metrics of all aspects of our Data centers and utilizing those metrics to drive positive improvements. · Customer support responsibilities can include customers relations, responding to customer inquiries and coordinating with other organizations. · Assisting in implementing service methodologies that include incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management.
