Description
Position: ETL Tester Location: Chennai/Coimbatore Key Responsibilities: Design and execute ETL test cases to verify data migration and transformation accuracy between source systems, Talend, and target data warehouses or databases. Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to define test plans, requirements, and objectives. Develop, implement, and maintain automated and manual ETL test scripts for Talend-based ETL processes. Perform data validation and reconciliation between different data sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency across the pipeline. Work closely with AWS data storage and analytics services (e.g., Amazon Redshift, S3, AWS Glue) to ensure seamless data processing and transformation. Perform performance testing, including load and stress tests, to ensure the ETL process can handle large volumes of data. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to identify and resolve any data quality issues or failures. Review and validate transformation logic, ensuring compliance with business rules and requirements. Document and report test results, defects, and resolutions clearly and concisely. Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the ETL process and overall system performance. Work in Agile development environments, participating in sprints and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as an ETL Tester with hands-on experience using Talend for data integration and transformation. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including AWS Redshift, S3, Glue, and other relevant AWS tools for data processing and storage. Experience in writing and executing SQL queries to validate data and perform testing. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data pipeline architecture. Understanding of data quality standards and best practices for ETL testing. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG). Ability to troubleshoot and debug ETL data flows and identify issues related to data quality or system performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
