Description
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical and electrical layouts for Dataloggers, UPS, Battery Banks, and Mounting Masts using AutoCAD . Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models for fabrication and assembly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams , including R&D, production, and procurement, to ensure seamless product development. Develop bill of materials (BOM) and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes. Work closely with vendors and suppliers to optimize design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness . Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements . Conduct design reviews, troubleshooting, and modifications as needed. Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation of new designs. Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field. 1+ years of experience in designing Dataloggers, UPS, Battery Banks, or similar electronic enclosures/mounting solutions . Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drawings and 3D modeling. Strong understanding of sheet metal design, enclosures, and power system integration . Experience with weatherproof and ruggedized enclosure designs . Knowledge of electrical wiring, circuit protection, and thermal management . Familiarity with industry standards related to environmental monitoring and power systems. Ability to analyze design constraints, conduct feasibility studies, and optimize designs . Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing products for weather sensor applications . Knowledge of solid modeling software like SolidWorks or Inventor (in addition to AutoCAD). Exposure to manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and assembly.
