Description
You will be part of our Contract Logistics team adding your leadership expertise + skills to the delivery of operational excellence. Your Role You will be responsible for the overall performance of distribution operations across one or more locations ensuring the achievement of all agreed financial + operational objectives. Your Responsibilities The activities needed to deliver these objectives include: To manage, plan, organize staff + transport sub-contractors (company fleet + drivers where applicable). To work closely with warehouse management teams, ensuring efficient operational execution within a collaborative environment. To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service + profit, safety + compliance in line with our policy. To ensure your team(s) deliver against their customer, site + people key performance indicators (KPI). To lead all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention + operational excellence, while also supporting business development teams. To deliver productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement at all times, ensuring your operations meet or exceed productivity targets. To provide information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business + retention of existing business. Your Skills And Experiences Graduate in any discipline; a background in logistics or supply chain is preferred. Experience managing transport operations, including fleet, drivers, and subcontractors. Strong coordination with warehouse teams to ensure smooth daily execution. Proven ability to meet KPIs in cost, safety, service, and compliance. Skilled in leading teams, tracking performance, and driving improvements. Hands-on experience in customer onboarding, retention, and service delivery. Ability to support tenders with operational inputs and identify productivity gains.
