Job Opening: AutoCAD Engineer Location: Pune (Lonavala) Experience: 2–5 years Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (AutoCAD certification preferred) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Engineer with a background in instrumentation and experience in drafting and designing layouts for precision equipment. The role involves creating and modifying technical drawings for products like Level Gauges, Density Meters, and Thickness Measurement Instruments, with added preference for experience in radioactive and X-ray-based systems. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and revise 2D & 3D CAD drawings for: o Level Gauges o Density and Thickness Measurement Devices o Instrumentation Panels & Hook-up Diagrams Collaborate with the engineering team to design layouts for: o XRF machines o X-ray baggage scanners o Other radioactive instrumentation Assist in BOM (Bill of Materials) preparation, assembly drawings, and site layout planning. Ensure design compliance with industry standards and safety guidelines, especially for radioactive products. Candidate Profile: Qualification: o Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering o Proficient in AutoCAD, knowledge of SolidWorks or Inventor is a bonus. Experience: o 2+ years in a design/drafting role in the instrumentation, electromechanical, or industrial equipment domain. o Preferred: Experience working on XRF, radioactive products, or X-ray machinery (e.g., baggage scanners). Skills: o Strong in technical drawing interpretation and creation. o Understanding of instrumentation layouts, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and mechanical assemblies. o Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, blueprints, and models using AutoCAD software. o Work with architects, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback. o Detail-oriented with good coordination and communication skills. o Develop designs, create layouts, and prepare documentation for construction, manufacturing, or other projects. o Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards. o Keep abreast of the latest advancements in AutoCAD software and industry trends. o Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles, design standards, and industry regulations. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams. o Ability to identify and resolve design issues, troubleshoot problems, and adapt to changing project requirements. Preferred Add-Ons: Knowledge of radiation safety zones/layout planning. Field exposure to installation or support in equipment service. Familiarity with site surveys, instrument mounting, and cabling routes.
