Milton is looking for an Assistant Manager - Mould Development - Plastic (Home Appliances/Houseware Products) Interested candidates can share their resumes with at madhushree.patil@hamiltonindia.in Location: Mumbai (Kandivali) Key Responsibilities: 1. Mould & Die Development: Develop plastic injection moulds, ensuring high-quality fit, finish, and function. Coordinate with engineering design and mould makers for timely product delivery. 2. Product Development & Feasibility Analysis: Independently develop plastic products for home/kitchen appliances. Analyze components, materials, and technologies for manufacturing feasibility (DFM). Conduct part design reviews, mould design reviews, and engineering calculations. 3. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams from manufacturing feasibility to product launch. Attend mould trials, assess components for defects, and resolve issues. Ensure timely mold installation, pilot runs, and mass production approval. 4. Cost Estimation & Project Management: Analyze mould, jig, and fixture cost estimates. Prepare schedules and implementation plans for projects. Develop cost estimates for tooled-up samples, detailing machine usage and losses. 5. Quality & Process Improvement: Ensure quality standards for new product introductions. Establish secondary plastic part assembly processes (welding, painting, plating). Travel to customer or assembler locations as required. Skills Required: Experience Requirement: 8+ years in plastic mould development (preferably in home appliances/mixer grinder). 1. Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with 3D software (SolidWorks or UG) mould design knowledge is an advantage. Mold flow analysis interpretation and issue resolution. 2D drawing knowledge and GD&T fundamentals. DFM study and tool feasibility report preparation. Tool cost estimation, design review, and approval. 2. Manufacturing & Injection Moulding Knowledge: Understanding of mould manufacturing processes, injection moulding, and post-processing. Ability to estimate cycle times and optimize production efficiency. 3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Coordinate with mould makers/vendors for quality product delivery. Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
