SMT Machine Operator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SMT Machine Operator to join our Production/Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining SMT machines to ensure efficient and accurate PCB assembly. Key Responsibilities: Operate SMT machines (e.g., pick and place, screen printer, reflow oven, AOI) based on production schedules. Set up feeders, load components, and prepare stencils according to BOMs and work instructions. Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Conduct visual inspections and use AOI systems to verify component placement and solder quality. Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of SMT equipment. Record production data and report any defects or equipment malfunctions. Adhere to ESD, safety, and cleanliness standards. Collaborate with quality, engineering, and supervisory staff to resolve issues and improve processes. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics is a plus. 1+ year of experience operating SMT equipment in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with SMT machines (e.g., Yamaha, Fuji, Juki, etc.). Basic knowledge of electronic components and PCB assembly. Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, BOMs, and schematics. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
