Procurement Coordinator – Fisheries

Job Description

Understand procurement requirements and identify suitable vendors for fisheries-related products. Evaluate and onboard new vendors while maintaining relationships with existing ones. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to ensure cost-effectiveness. Place orders and ensure the timely procurement of necessary materials. Coordinate with logistics partners for efficient transportation and delivery. Track shipments, resolve delivery-related issues, and ensure on-time supply. Liaise with internal teams (operations, finance, and quality control) to ensure seamless procurement processes. Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards related to fisheries procurement. Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure the quality of procured products aligns with company standards. Maintain accurate procurement records, assist in auditing processes, and ensure adherence to company procurement policies. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Fisheries Science, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar role (in fisheries). Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of logistics coordination and inventory management. Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software/tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
