Quality Manager for RMC Plant

Job Description

Job Summary : The Quality Manager will oversee and manage the quality assurance and quality control processes at the RMC plant. This includes monitoring concrete mix designs, raw materials, production processes, and end-product quality to ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and statutory regulations. Key Responsibilities : Quality Assurance & Control : Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures for the RMC plant. Monitor incoming raw materials (aggregates, cement, admixtures, etc.) for compliance with quality standards. Conduct routine and surprise inspections/tests on concrete mixes to ensure strength, workability, and durability. Ensure all concrete batches are produced according to approved mix designs and standards (IS:456, IS:4926, etc.). Lab Management : Supervise and manage the onsite laboratory team. Ensure regular calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Maintain lab records and test reports as per audit and client requirements. Documentation & Compliance : Maintain up-to-date quality records, batch reports, and inspection logs. Ensure compliance with ISO, BIS, and other relevant certifications. Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies as required. Customer Interface : Address and resolve client complaints related to concrete quality. Support client inspection and site testing as needed. Provide technical support to the sales and operations teams. Training & Development : Conduct regular training programs for plant staff and drivers on quality-related topics. Promote a culture of quality awareness across the plant operations. Key Skills and Competencies : In-depth knowledge of concrete technology and mix design. Familiarity with IS codes and QA/QC standards in RMC. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software/tools. Preferred Certifications : ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification in Concrete Technology or QA/QC (optional but advantageous) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month Benefits: Provident Fund Schedule: Day shift Ability to commute/relocate: Bangalore, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) Experience: RMC Plant : 5 years (Preferred) Language: Kannada (Preferred) Location: Bangalore, Karnataka (Preferred) Work Location: In person
