Inventive Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (ISSPL) is a well-established company operating in power utility domain across India. We specialize in Metering, Billing, RMS, MRI analysis for Electricity, Water and Gas domains. Job Overview: The Zonal Manager shall be deputed at each Zone and shall report to concerned Chief Zonal Engineer. He shall coordinate with Chief Zonal Engineer, circle managers and supervisors to ensure billing quality and efficiency, redressal of exceptions provided by meter readers, resolution of consumer grievances, resolution of issues related to billing software/apps provided by the DISCOM, consumer database updates etc. Zonal Head for Spot Billing will oversee the operations and performance of the spot billing function within the assigned region or zone. This role requires managing teams, ensuring accurate billing, maintaining compliance with billing processes, and driving efficient service delivery. The Zonal Head will play a key role in optimizing processes, addressing customer concerns, and meeting targets for revenue collection and billing accuracy. Role & responsibilities - Lead and manage a team of spot billing professionals across the zone. Set clear performance expectations and targets for team members. Conduct regular performance evaluations, training, and coaching to ensure high standards of work and development. Ensure that spot billing operations are executed accurately and on time. Monitor the daily operations, ensuring that all billing processes are followed correctly. Analyze and report on performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Continuously improve billing processes to increase accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of invoice status, payment receipts, and any penalties or adjustments related to billing. Implement automation and technology solutions to streamline the billing process. Ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements for billing practices. Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth billing operations. Address escalated issues related to billing and payment, ensuring customer satisfaction. Ensure proper written communication with Discom regarding any issues and provide clear and documented responses. If any letters or official communications are received from Discom, ensure that the responses are well-drafted, timely, and compliant with company standards. Maintain a record of all communications with Discom and follow up as needed to ensure that issues are resolved satisfactorily. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, vendors, and partners. Monitor and track revenue collection activities to ensure timely and complete billing. Ensure all discrepancies in spot billing are resolved promptly and accurately. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with billing and revenue recognition standards. Prepare regular reports on billing operations, performance, and revenue collection. Provide insights and data-driven recommendations to management for strategic decision-making. Maintain data integrity in all reports, ensuring transparency and accuracy. Ensure all billing practices comply with local regulatory requirements and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks related to billing and revenue collection processes. Qualifications: Bachelors in engineering with minimum 7 years of experience post engineering in the field of similar projects for handling of technology process and manpower. Proven experience in leading and managing large teams. Experience in implementing process improvements and optimizing billing workflows. Skills : Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of billing systems, revenue management, and customer service best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
