Workshop Supervisor

About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Workshop Associate to support the smooth day-to-day operations of our design house workshop. The ideal candidate will oversee labour attendance, ensure adherence to workshop timings, monitor productivity, and handle basic payment-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor Workshop Timings:

Ensure the workshop opens and closes on time and that all operations run as per schedule.

• Labour Attendance Management:

• Record daily attendance and working hours of all workshop staff.
• Maintain accurate logs for late arrivals, early departures, and absences.
• Report any irregularities to the management.

• Supervision of Work Activity:

• Check if the labourers are present and working on assigned tasks.
• Ensure discipline and a smooth workflow.

• Payment Handling:

• Calculate daily/weekly/monthly labour payments based on hours worked.
• Maintain proper payment records and submit them to accounts/management.
• Distribute payments to labour on time.

• Coordination & Reporting:

• Communicate with management about labour requirements, shortages, or issues.
• Assist in basic workshop stock checks if needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and order within the workshop.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records
• Basic understanding of payroll or willingness to learn
• Good communication and people-handling skills
• Prior experience in a workshop/production environment is a plus
• Proficiency with basic Excel or attendance software (optional but preferred)

Work Schedule

• Full-time
• On-site role at the workshop (specify location)
• Must be available during workshop operating hours
