Responsibilities: Purpose ER role involves collaborating closely with both the GHRS team and the business units within RM India and closely working with India People Director. The Employee Relations Specialist provides expert labour relations advice to ensure that participants are treated fairly, lawfully, and in accordance with RM India's policies and values, while ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risks. The Employee Relations Specialist manages day-to-day relationships with various senior stakeholders across RM India, working collaboratively and effectively. The role involves implementing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at building line manager capability, confidence, and awareness in handling people-related matters. Role and Responsibilities Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals Independently managing complex ER matters, conducting workplace investigations, resolving employee grievances and supporting the parties to resolve issues themselves Providing quality ER advice relating to employee issues, employment, policy, Health, Safety & Wellbeing Up to date knowledge on India employment law and labor legislation and regulation and providing proactive and strategic advice to relevant stakeholders Collaborating with legal teams in the preparation for and participation in labor relations matters Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the GPSS team to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Manages Conflict resolution and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Works closely with employees to improve work relationships, build morale, trust and increase productivity and retention. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Initiating employee engagement activities and seeking feedback for improvements Identifies training needs for business units and work in collaboration with L&D leader. Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualification and certification Bachelors degree required. MBA HR Preferred from premier school Experience and Knowledge Minimum of 15 years of total experience of which 5-8 years of ER experience Working knowledge of human resource disciplines For eg: employee relations, diversity, performance management Extensive experience in a specialist employee relations role or employment legal role, demonstrating a deep understanding of employment laws, regulation and policy Mandatory skills Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills. Must be empathetic and compassionate Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. Ability to understand the organization's hierarchy, jobs, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors. Effective time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
