The Workday Security Consultant will serve as the subject matter expert in Workday Security, providing hands-on support to the internal Workday team. This role is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining security frameworks across all Workday functional areas (Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation,). The consultant will collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure robust security controls, compliance with internal policies, and continuous improvement of security processes.
Role Description
- Design, configure, and maintain Workday Security roles, domain policies, and permission structures across all relevant modules.
- Advise and support the internal Workday team on security best practices, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular security audits, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and business teams to gather requirements and ensure security solutions align with business needs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including access maps, audit logs, and security catalogs.
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on Workday security protocols and procedures.
- Support integration of new Workday modules and features, ensuring security is embedded throughout.
- Partner with the system implementor and Post Production Support teams to address backlog items, resolve break-fix issues, and support the deployment of new Workday functional areas, ensuring security requirements are met throughout all phases of implementation and ongoing support.
- Monitor system changes and proactively update security configurations to reflect evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication between IT, HR, and business teams regarding security issues and solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in Workday security management and recommend enhancements.
