About the Role

The Wind Assessment Analyst will be responsible for conducting end-to-end Wind Resource Assessments, Energy Yield Estimations, and Asset Performance Analysis to support project planning and investment decisions. The role involves technical expertise in wind data management, energy forecasting, and coordination with third-party consultants to ensure reliable and optimized project outcomes. Key Responsibilities- Prepare the Wind Resource Assessment/Analysis (WRA) Methodology Document to be used for internal Energy Yield Analysis (EYA).- Complete WRA Resource Assessment and internal Energy Yield Estimation.- Engage third-party WRA consultants for external EYA reports and vet their findings.- Finalize PLF (Plant Load Factor) numbers for use in investment cases for new projects.- Calculate losses due to clipping caused by restricted transformation capacity in Wind/Hybrid projects.- Plan and manage Met Mast installation and wind data management activities.- Conduct wind data analysis, site suitability assessment, and wind farm layout optimization.- Plan and execute power curve verification tests in coordination with third-party vendors.- Perform Energy Yield Estimation, including raw data cleaning/synthesizing and roughness map preparation.- Manage Mast Data, ensuring minimum data gaps through timely corrective actions.- Conduct Asset Performance Analysis comparing Business Plan vs. Actual performance. Perform Energy Forecasting using historical data and future trends.

Experience & Qualification- bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

8–10 years of experience in Wind Resource Assessment, Energy Yield Estimation, or related domains. Strong analytical, interpretation, and technical reporting skills.

Salary Range 15–20 LPA (based on experience and expertise)
