Data Science Intern Job DescriptionPosition: Data Science Intern Department: Data Science / Analytics Reports to: Senior Data Scientist / Data Science Manager About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated Data Science Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in applying data-driven solutions to real business problems. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to work with experienced data scientists, develop technical skills, and contribute to meaningful projects. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various sources Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights Build and test predictive models using machine learning algorithms Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements Document methodologies, code, and results for reproducibility Present findings and recommendations to team members Required QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field Strong programming skills in Python or R Understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques Familiarity with SQL and database querying Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Tableau, Power BI) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred QualificationsExperience with machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Previous internship or project experience in data science Understanding of A/B testing and experimental design Portfolio of data science projects (GitHub, Kaggle, personal projects) What You'll GainPractical experience working on real-world data science projects Mentorship from experienced data professionals Exposure to industry-standard tools and methodologies Professional development and networking opportunities Potential for future full-time employment Duration: 10-12 weeks (Summer/Fall/Spring) Location: [Office or remote]
