Work with HODs and PMs to identify underperformance and high-potential contributors. Coordinate quarterly/half-yearly review cycles and lead performance calibration. Drive Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and follow-ups where needed. Build and maintain performance dashboards and weekly/monthly reports for leadership. Compensation Strategy Research market salary trends for technical roles across experience levels. Define and maintain internal salary bands for each department. Align compensation decisions with performance data and organizational goals. Assist in budgeting hikes, bonuses, and retention strategies using performance-to-cost ratios. Collaboration & Governance Work closely with HODs, Product Managers, and HR to ensure review protocols are followed. Enforce policies around WFH performance, system activity misuse, and task accountability. Proactively flag concerns related to morale, workload balance, or delivery impact. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5–8 years of experience in performance management, people analytics, or HR strategy (preferably in a tech environment). Strong understanding of KPIs for technical teams (development, QA, design, etc.). Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, BI tools (Power BI, Data Studio), and performance systems (Lattice, Zoho People, etc.). Familiarity with compensation data platforms (Glassdoor, Levels.fyi, AmbitionBox, etc.). Strong communication and facilitation skills to interact with HODs, PMs, and senior leadership. Ability to handle sensitive performance data with integrity and discretion. Nice to Have: Experience working in a fast-paced tech company or startup environment. Exposure to salary budgeting, retention modeling, or workforce planning. Certification in Performance Management, HR Analytics, or Compensation Strategy.
