Senior Content Writer

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Writing Excellence

• Write clear, compelling, and original content for blogs, websites, product pages, social media, email campaigns, and press materials.
• Develop content that aligns with brand guidelines, tone, and messaging for multiple markets.
• Create long-form and short-form content that educates, informs, and converts.

Research & Topic Development

• Conduct in-depth research on assigned topics, competitors, and industry trends (tea, herbs, spices, wellness, agriculture, and more).
• Generate content ideas based on keyword insights, audience needs, and market trends.
• Collaborate with SEO teams to ensure content is optimized for search visibility.

SEO-Aligned Content Writing

• Implement on-page SEO best practices including keyword integration, internal linking, meta descriptions, and content structure.
• Work closely with the Senior SEO Specialist to develop content that supports organic growth goals.
• Review existing content and improve ranking potential through rewrites and optimization.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work with marketing, design, SEO, and eCommerce teams to create content tailored for campaigns, product launches, and storytelling.
• Coordinate with the Uganda content team for region-specific content requirements.
• Ensure all written content aligns with global and regional marketing strategies.

Editing & Quality Assurance

• Proofread and edit content for grammar, clarity, structure, and accuracy.
• Ensure consistency in style, tone, and messaging across all content formats.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail.

Content Performance & Reporting

• Monitor how content performs using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush).
• Recommend improvements based on performance data, engagement metrics, and competition.
• Track deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and ensure timely delivery.
