API Testing and Integration Testing Engineer (Fast API) (3 to 6 yrs ) Company: HARMAN Connected Services Job Title: API Testing and Integration Testing Engineer Location: Bangalore, India Experience: 3 to 6 years Job Type: Full-time Position Overview: We are seeking a talented API Testing and Integration Testing Engineer to ensure the quality and performance of our APIs built with Fast API. In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to design and execute effective testing strategies, ensuring our APIs and integrations are reliable, functional, and scalable. Key Responsibilities: Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver. Perform automated regression and functional testing for web applications. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. Manual Testing: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and scenarios. Perform functional, UI/UX, and exploratory testing to identify defects. Document defects clearly and work closely with the development team for resolution. API Testing: Test Fast APIs for functionality, performance, and data validation using tools like Postman, Pytest, or SoapUI. Verify request/response payloads, headers, and status codes for accuracy. Develop automation scripts for API testing where applicable. Integration Testing: Validate end-to-end workflows between integrated systems. Ensure seamless communication and data exchange between APIs, databases, and external services. Test edge cases and error handling for robust integration. Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, with experience in testing frameworks like Pytest. Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, or similar). Familiarity with Fast API or similar frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django). Experience with automation tools for API testing (e.g., Pytest, Rest Assured). Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases for backend validation. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Basic knowledge of containerization tools like Docker is a plus. Preferred Skill: Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Locust. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their API services. Exposure to microservices architecture and API gateway testing. Knowledge of security testing for APIs (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
