Web Accessibility test specialist / consultant

Job Description

Qualifications : Bachelors degree with experience of 6 to 8 years in web accessibility testing and documents remediation. Responsibilities: • 6- 8 years of experience in Accessibility testing of Web and Mobile applications to ensure conformance to WCAG 2.2 Level A/AA guidelines. • Strong understanding and knowledge on documents accessibility compliance / remediation (complex MS PPTs, Word, excel, PDF remediation, etc.) • Strong understanding of product code to guide / support developers fixing the bugs. • Strong Understanding on WCAG 2.2 guidelines and region-specific regulations such as ADA / Section508, AODA, DDA etc. • Ability to debug, identify and report the element level accessibility issues using automated scanning tools like AXE, Accessibility Scanner, Accessibility Inspector, Colour Contrast Analyser etc • Work with Developers, Product Owners, to understand Accessibility requirements and documentation, implementation details to come up with detailed Accessibility test strategies. • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, Scrum / Agile framework, hands on experience to track / report issues / bugs in ADO board. • Proficient in carrying out comprehensive Accessibility testing of Web and Mobile applications including keyboard navigation, screen readers and colour contrast tools. • Well versed with the usage of assistive technologies on mobile and web platforms such as NVDA, JAWS, Voiceover, Talkback etc. • Should be able to conduct accessibility audits on digital products and provide required recommendations using different remediation techniques. • Support, train and mentor teams on the various aspects of digital accessibility • Effectively communicate status to stake holders and proactively locate and address concerns • Manage cross-functional relationships across a project/product • Must have the ability to work effectively in a high performing team. Technical expertise • Good understanding of Software Development lifecycle, Web Development, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, DOM structure, PDF, OS - Windows / MAC is required. • Demonstrable experience into Accessibility Automation using any framework. • Able to guide / support developers at code level fixing the identified bugs. • Hands on Experience of accessibility testing tools like AXE Pro, Monitor, Auditor, etc required. • Certifications in Accessibility CPACC, CPAWAS required . please reach out to 82473 94469
