A high-growth professional services firm is seeking an exceptional professional to lead its Transactions practice. This is an opportunity to lead a transactions desk, step into a leadership role, shape the growth of a practice, and join the firm’s core leadership team. About the Role As an Assistant Manager, you will support managers in delivering complex tax projects and act as a reviewer/mentor to Associates. This role provides significant exposure to client interaction, technical problem-solving, and cross-practice collaboration. Key Responsibilities Conduct tax research and prepare reports on indirect, direct, and international tax matters. Support tax structuring engagements for M&A, PE/VC, and cross-border transactions.x Prepare tax opinions, compliance documentation, and client deliverables. Review Associates’ work for technical accuracy and provide coaching. Liaise with clients on day-to-day queries and provide timely responses. Contribute to internal knowledge development and process improvement initiatives. Candidate Profile 3–6 years of relevant experience in tax advisory. Chartered Accountant (qualified or finalist). Strong technical knowledge in indirect tax, direct tax, and familiarity with international tax frameworks. Experience in litigation matters from inception through preparation and resolution in Tax Litigation (Indirect and Direct tax ). Understanding of GST implications in business transfers and reorganization. Experience in M&A tax advisory, including structuring and due diligence of mergers/demergers, cross-border investments. Solid analytical, research, and report-writing skills. Ability to mentor junior colleagues and manage small workstreams.
