Please find below Job Description for your reference: Experience: 6-10 years Qualification: Any graduate- full time education Shift: Night Shift Notice Period - Immediate to 15 days Requirements: Proven work experience as a credit underwriter or similar role Familiar with standard mortgage concepts, practices, and procedures Ability to perform an accurate risk assessment to ensure compliance with industry, company, and compliance guidelines. Effective communication with relevant parties regarding approval or rejection of loan applications. Highly organized and able to prioritize working withing tight and conflicting deadlines Detail-orientated with strong data analysis skills High mathematical aptitude Sound understanding of the Life cycle of a Loan application, from Origination until Funding Fluent in English with strong communication skills, both verbal in written Good knowledge in MS office skills- MS Word, Excel & MS Teams Willingness to work in US working hours (late night shift) Educational qualification and experience: Bachelors degree (10+2+3) with minimum 60% marks (business or finance preferred) Minimum of 6-10 years of relevant work experience in credit underwriting Previous mortgage underwriting experience preferred Duties and responsibilities: Analyze Home Equity (HELOAN/HELOC) loan applications and documentation to determine eligibility Make loan approval or denial decisions based on company policies and procedures Review and verify applicants financial information and credit standing Analyzing borrowers’ ability to repay loans Timely review of additional supporting documentation Evaluate property appraisal and title reports to ensure it meets company and legal standards Ensuring underwriting compliance with legal and industry regulations Interacting with loan originators and processors to obtain additional documentation or clarification Communicating application decision approval, counteroffer, denial to relevant parties Deliver on day-to-day process targets in meeting process service levels.
