Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for CNC Machinist VTL Operator to be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC Vertical Turning machines and perform precision machining on complex large parts. Duties and Responsibilities: Familiar with general VTL operation and mechanical skills Familiar with checking, setting up programs and measuring tool offsets Machine parts to hold tolerances per drawing specifications Knowledge of verifying dimensions using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and various measuring devices Familiar with working on VTLs such as Mazak and Fanuc Controlled Machining Centers Responsible for reporting malfunctions, replacing worn tools, and cleaning debris from machine Familiar with operating lifting devices for movement of materials and other equipment as needed Experience working in AS9100 and ISO9000 environment a plus Maintain cleanliness of work area Requirements: Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) Ability to read and understand drawings Ability to operate measuring instruments and operate Mazak or FANUC controls Comfort with working with close tolerances At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator is preferred Knowledge of GD&T preferred Ability to follow instructions and drawings with minimal supervision Ability to follow proper safety protocols Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
