Job Description

Job Title: VoIP L3 Engineer Job Description: Experience: 6-7+ years in Cisco Collaboration (L3 support) with proactive in identifying, investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems and restoring services to clients by managing incidents to resolution. The VOIP Engineer (L3) focuses on third line support for high complexity incidents. He must be Subject matter expert in IPT Purpose & Accountabilities: Should be able to understand LAN & WAN terminology and should be able to correlate their impact on VOIP and Video segments Support to VOIP Cluster components with hands on experience on configuration & administration of Cisco Call Manager Unity Connection Servers Cisco Voice Gateway UCS server, CIMC and Esxi knowledge Configuration and supporting VOIP implementation at remote sites Validation of VOIP implementation documents like site readiness, LLD Validation of Bill of Materials Should be proactive to identify security vulnerabilities and provide a fix Should have good hands-on experience on IOS upgrade /Firmware upgrades Configuration and supporting QoS & Packet analysis Configuration and support Switching, VLAN, Ether channel, HSRP Good Troubleshooting Call Manager, Voice Gateway, On Net Calling Issues Support VOIP analysis and reporting to achieve savings Manage medium-to-high priority projects in VOIP Support configuration & administration Cisco Call Manager, Unity Connection Servers Should be expert in CSS, Partition, route pattern, Unity connection, UCS server, CIMC and Esxi, Dial peers, Certificate renew, maintenance work. Should be expert Voice Gateway configuration and implementation (Hardware refresh) UCS server configuration & implementation (Hardware Refresh) Should have hands on experience for application server backup and restore Design & implementation of Voice equipment Must have good implementation knowledge of SIP & H323 Should have good knowledge about cloud Telephony Should be an escalation point for complex and critical issues Self-initiatives for the continuous improvement in Voice area Good Communication skills and ability to coordinate with global stakeholders Should have hands on experience for call manager /cluster upgrade Subject matter expert in VoIP area Need to handle all escalations, critical issues Key Skills: Knowledge about CISCO VOIP, configuration and troubleshooting Understanding of WAN, LAN terminology Communication skills (both verbal and written) Switching Cabling standards Scripting knowledge VMWare & Windows Key Relationships: Collaborate with Team members Stakeholder management & interactions Experience: Minimum years of work experience preferred: 6 to 7 years Other work requirements: Might have to work in shifts (Morning / General / Second Shift) Needs to attend calls in US morning Licenses and certifications: Professional Certification - CCNA Voice is a must, CCNP Voice (Preferred) Scripting knowledge Education: Any Graduate (Applicable for GIT) CCNA Voice Certified (Must) & CCNP Voice (Preferred)
