Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Telecaller/Admissions Counselor to be the first point of contact for potential students and their families. This role involves providing comprehensive information about our school's programs, addressing inquiries, and assisting candidates through the enrollment process to help the institution grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Calling: Initiate calls to prospective students and parents who have shown interest in the school's programs to provide detailed information and encourage enrollment.
  • Inbound Call Management: Answer incoming calls and address a wide range of inquiries related to courses, fees, admission procedures, and school facilities.
  • Admissions Guidance: Counsel potential students and parents, helping them make informed decisions regarding their educational paths and guiding them through the application process.
  • Lead Generation & Follow-up: Generate new leads through cold calling where necessary and conduct timely follow-up calls to nurture existing leads and ensure all necessary information is provided.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions, inquiries, and follow-ups in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Target Achievement: Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets for calls, lead generation, and successful admissions/enrollments.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest educational programs, curriculum details, admission requirements, and offerings to provide precise and current information.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the admissions, marketing, and administration teams to streamline processes and improve overall effectiveness.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in communications, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a telecalling, customer service, or admissions role, preferably within the education sector, is preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills in English and the local regional language(s) are essential.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build rapport with potential students and parents, handle diverse viewpoints, and demonstrate empathy.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in using CRM software, MS Office applications, and telephone systems.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to handle a high volume of calls, work under pressure, manage time effectively, and handle rejection professionally.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think spontaneously to resolve issues or customize scripts as needed.
