Summary

A highly skilled IT professional with subject matter expertise in VMWare vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX, VCF and private cloud management. Proficient in automation, troubleshooting and optimizing virtualized environments.

Core Competencies:

• Virtualization: VMWare vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, VCF, Aria Automation, Horizon VDI and Commvault backup.
• Automation: PowerCLI, Python, Bash
• Networking: NSX micro segmentation, Load balancers, Firewall and Routing
• Storage: VSAN, ISCSI, NFS
• OS: Windows, Linux

Experience:

• Candidate must have 7+ years of Technical / Functional experience in core VMware related framework

• Manage and maintain large-scale VMware VCF environment, including monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Experience in managing VDI infrastructure especially Horizon VDI based technologies is added advantage.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, implementation guides and knowledge base articles.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members to accelerate helpdesk ticket handling and completion.
• Stay up-to-date with latest VMware technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to improve existing environment and implement new solutions.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong experience with VMWare VCF, including architecture, configuration, and deployment.
• Experience with vSphere, NSX and vSAN, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
• Moderate level knowledge in managing VDI environment predominantly Horizon VDI stack
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with storage technologies, including SAN, ISCSI and NAS.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.

Certifications:

• VMWare VCP (VCP-DCV or VCP-NT or VCP-DW) certification.
• Experience with automation tools such as PowerCLI or Ansible
• Experience with IT service management framework, such as ITIL
• Experience with Jira, confluence (no certification, preferred to know)
