Job Title: Technical Support Engineer – Virtualization Location: Navi Mumbai/ Powai Experience: 4+ years Certification: VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization VCP–DCV and nutanix certification Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Engineer – Virtualization to support and maintain VMware-based infrastructure in a large-scale, enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware technologies, server builds, storage management, and system automation. Key Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot VMware environments including vCenter , Update Manager , Operations Manager , and Orchestrator . Perform storage migrations , assign LUNs , and address ESXi vulnerabilities in line with security best practices. Manage VM snapshots and participate in DR (Disaster Recovery) drills , including storage mapping/unmapping. Build and deploy new servers, including integration with Cisco ACI switches . Design and manage VM templates ; use vCenter Operations Manager to right-size virtual servers . Conduct V2V and P2V migrations as part of server consolidation and hardware reduction initiatives. Upgrade ESXi hosts and VM guests using VMware Update Manager. Utilize scripting tools like PowerCLI (knowledge preferred) for automation. Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to translate technical issues into operational solutions. Required Skills: 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience with VMware technologies. Strong understanding of virtualization best practices , server migration , and enterprise IT environments . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
