VMC Machine Operator

Job Description: VMC Operator (Minimum 1 Year Experience) Position Overview We are looking for an experienced VMC Operator who has a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in operating VMC machines. The candidate must have compulsory programming knowledge and should be capable of handling machining operations independently. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines efficiently and safely. Create, modify, and understand VMC programming (G-code, M-code) as per job requirements. Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces according to the job drawing. Adjust machine parameters, offsets, and cutting conditions to ensure accurate machining. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions. Perform tool changes, job loading/unloading, and machine operation independently. Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc. Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks. Troubleshoot minor machine issues and coordinate with maintenance team when required. Maintain production reports, daily logs, and ensure quality output as per standards. Follow safety guidelines and comply with workshop rules and procedures. Required SkillsetStrong knowledge of VMC programming (mandatory). Ability to operate VMC machines independently. Good understanding of machining processes, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using measuring instruments for quality inspection. Ability to identify machining errors and correct them. Quality-focused and detail-oriented working style. QualificationsITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Machinist, or related field. Minimum 1 year of experience as a VMC Operator. Experience in programming and operating VMC machines is compulsory. Other RequirementsGood communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to work in shifts if required. Strong discipline, accountability, and safety awareness.
