AHEAD is searching for a Virtualization Engineer to be a part of our Managed Services team. Candidates are eager to learn, customer focused, an effective communicator, self-initiating and can perform most tasks without direct oversight. Key Responsibilities Daily administration and support of core infrastructure systems Administrating and troubleshooting the issues Managing and monitoring the environment. Work with vendors to resolve virtualization and compute issues Perform root cause analysis for issues / provide workarounds to ensure business continuity Ensure that clients infrastructure is healthy, stable, documented, and configured with accepted technical best practices Skills Required: A college degree or equivalent in Information Systems or related field. Experience with VCF, SDDC Manager, ARIA suite and Vrops. VMware Certified Professional certification required but VMware Certified Advanced Professional certification is preferred Experience with Cisco UCS and Dell hardware systems is required, familiarity with Dell PowerStore would be considered a plus Operating System skills with Windows and Linux preferred Understanding PowerShell and PowerCLI as well as the ability to create and utilize scripts preferred Experience with performance monitoring tools LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, Elastic, etc. Managed Services or Consulting experience is a plus ITILv4 certification encouraged
