Role & Responsibilities:

Edit YouTube long-form videos and short-form content (Reels/Shorts). Add titles, subtitles, transitions, sound effects, and creative storytelling elements suited for food content. Organize and manage raw footage, sound, and project files. Support the team during shoots and show interest in learning video shooting. Assist in script writing, ingredient documentation, SEO writing, and office tasks (training will be provided).

IMPORTANT to note before applying:

1. This job is for video editors who are willing to work at Home Studio. This is NOT a remote work from home job. Due to the nature of job of editing/shoot/office work etc, it's a onsite Home Studio work by nature.

There is some notes for women applicants who are concerned about safety at the end of this note, pls read to the end.

2. This job is for video editors who are willing to learn video shooting and channel support work like writing ingredients, script, SEO & other documents, some office work if and when necessary.

Initial job is editing and related, but soon will be trained on camera shoot and other above said tasks. When the video editor is ready to shoot, their salary will be hiked by Rs.5000/month.

Base salary based on experience.

3. There is more opportunity to progress over time depending on performance, dedication and also the success as a team.

4. For Women applicants: The Home Studio is very safe to work with 2 women chefs, 1 elderly women and others in the family. They can visit the Home Studio if they like with parents and talk to Chefs and others if they are selected in the initial screening to feel comfortable of safe work environment.

5. Any further questions/doubts can be clarified during initial phone screening once your resume is selected for 1st round interview.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in video editing.

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva (Must-Have).

• Familiarity with other video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, and Filmora is a plus.

• Willingness to multitask beyond editing (shooting, documentation, basic SEO).

• Should be comfortable working closely with a women-led creator team in a home/studio environment.

Work Environment & Safety:

- Laptop system will be provided in the office all editing work should be done from our studio only.

- Secure home-studio environment.

Selection Process:

: Initial Screening (Google Meet 15 to 20 mins) A short online conversation to understand your background, communication skills, and comfort working in a small, women-led creator setup. Well also discuss your editing experience, preferred tools, and travel feasibility to Kolathur.

: Practical Editing Test (Online or In-Studio) Youll receive a short cooking video clip (multi-angle) to edit. Your task will be to: Cut out unwanted portions and polish the flow. Add titles, subtitles, and transitions. Clean up audio and balance background sound. Export both a YouTube long version and a Reel/Short (vertical) version. Well evaluate your speed, creativity, sound balance, export quality, and ability to follow directions.
