Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our Xylem Digital

Marketing team in Kozhikode. This role involves editing raw footage into engaging and polished videos,

ensuring high-quality output that aligns with project goals and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing

• Edit raw footage into polished videos that meet project requirements and brand

guidelines.

• Trim and arrange footage segments to create a coherent and compelling sequence.

• Apply transitions, effects, graphics, and text overlays as required.

• Ensure logical sequencing, smooth flow, and professional presentation of videos.

2. Collaboration with Team

• Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project

scope and deliverables.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative concepts.

• Provide input during pre-production and production phases to enhance final output

quality.

3. Post-Production Tasks

• Review shooting scripts and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scene

value and continuity.

• Create both rough and final cuts for review and approval.

• Enhance audio quality, synchronize sound and visuals, and mix audio tracks.

• Seamlessly integrate graphics, animations, and effects into final videos.

4. Quality Control

• Perform thorough quality checks on videos to ensure they meet technical and creative

standards.

• Identify and correct any errors, inconsistencies, or visual issues.

Stay updated with industry trends, editing techniques, and software advancements.

5. Project Management

• Manage and organize digital assets, raw footage, and media libraries efficiently.

• Meet project deadlines and manage multiple editing assignments simultaneously.

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders on project progress,

revisions, and any challenges.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film, Communication, or related field (or equivalent

experience).

• Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

• Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects,

or equivalent tools.

• Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and export settings.

• Knowledge of audio mixing, color correction, and motion graphics is a plus.

• Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
