As an acoustic development engineer in the Product Development team responsible for Vibroacoustic software development, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Development of new features in the product to meet industrial expectations in terms of accuracy, performance, and robustness - Participation in acoustic research topics - Providing recommendations on integrating new technologies to efficiently address new challenges - Collaboration with third-party software interfaces when necessary - Working on bug fixes and identifying software design problems to come up with elegant solutions - Engaging in Quality Assurance (QA), industrial validation, and software documentation through daily interactions with dedicated teams To qualify for this role, you should have: - A PhD in Applied Sciences, Computer Sciences, or equivalent by experience - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++ - Experience with commercial structural dynamics solvers like Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys, or Optistruct - Programming experience in a Linux environment - Background in acoustic research and design of complex object-oriented software - Familiarity with C++ (generic programming, Standard Template Library, boost libraries) and Python (C-bindings, python extension libraries, numpy, scipy, matplotlib) - Knowledge of versioning system GIT, CI/CD development processes, and containerization tools - Experience with Qt framework and VTK library is advantageous - Basic understanding of CAE-FEM tools like Ansa, Catia, Hypermesh is a plus - Soft skills such as creativity, self-learning ability, curiosity, out-of-the-box thinking, solution-oriented mindset, quality consciousness, teamwork, and flexibility - Good proficiency in English language These qualifications and skills will enable you to excel in the role of an acoustic development engineer within the Product Development team.
