Role Description This is a remote role for a Maithili Transcriber. The candidate will be responsible for transcribing audio content in the Maithili language with accuracy and maintaining high-quality outputs. Daily tasks include listening to audio or video files, converting spoken content into written Maithili text, proofreading transcriptions for accuracy, and ensuring cultural nuance is captured correctly. Collaboration with the language team may also be required for quality assurance and consistency. Qualifications Proficiency in Maithili and strong understanding of its grammar, spelling, and cultural nuances Excellent listening and comprehension skills for accurately transcribing spoken content Attention to detail and accuracy in proofreading and editing transcriptions Basic computer skills and proficiency in using transcription tools/software Strong time-management and organizational abilities to meet deadlines Previous experience in transcription or translation work is preferred but not required Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage
