Vendor Development Manager

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Vendor Development Manager to handle supplier identification, cost optimization, procurement, and process improvements. The role involves supplier negotiation, quality assessment, and ensuring smooth procurement operations while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Identify and onboard new suppliers, ensuring adherence to company standards. Find and develop 2-3 suppliers for all required items. Focus on cost reduction, quality improvement, and timely delivery. Evaluate and improve supplier performance through regular monitoring. Get quotations, samples, and finalize costing. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements. Monitor delivery schedules to prevent production delays. Coordinate with design, development, production, and assembly teams. Plan, schedule, and prioritize procurement activities. Supervise purchasing activities, ensuring cost control. Prepare purchase requests, purchase orders, and quotations. Work with ERP systems for procurement and supplier management. Ensure cost-saving through alternative sourcing and effective negotiations. Prepare and analyze price comparisons using Excel. Maintain all purchase-related documents, including material records. Generate and approve purchase orders. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and best practices. Skills & Competencies: Adequate knowledge of ERP systems. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Excellent negotiation and cost-saving strategies. Ability to analyze supplier quotations for cost-effectiveness. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
