1. Role Overview

The Vendor and Project Manager (GIS & DGPS Survey Services) will be responsible for end-to-end management of CORS-enabled DGPS, GIS, and Topographical Survey Projects, ensuring compliance with client (Defence, Municipal, or Government) standards. The role includes vendor coordination, project execution, quality assurance, and preparation of technical deliverables in GIS formats such as SHP, DWG, DXF, KML, KMZ, and others.

2. Key Responsibilities

· A. Project Management

• Lead, monitor, and execute GIS-related survey projects for Defence, Forest, and Municipal lands.

• Oversee CORS-enabled DGPS surveys with scale variations (1:500 to 1:8000) as per project specifications.

• Plan, schedule, and allocate survey resources, ensuring on-time and quality delivery.

• Supervise preparation of Topographic and Contour Surveys for water supply, sewerage, and municipal infrastructure projects.

• Coordinate field activities including DGPS data collection, geotagging, and point-of-interest mapping.

· B. Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors/sub-contractors for DGPS and GIS-related works.

• Manage vendor performance, ensure technical compliance, and verify field data accuracy.

• Prepare and manage vendor contracts, deliverables, and payment milestones.

• Conduct regular vendor reviews and implement corrective measures when required.

· C. Technical & GIS Deliverables

• Ensure accurate digitization, geo-referencing, and mapping using advanced GIS tools.

• Review and approve deliverables in SHP, DWG, DXF, KML, CSV, KMZ, PDF, JPEG, PNG and other specified formats.

• Supervise DEM (Digital Elevation Model) creation and data post-processing for mapping accuracy.

• Validate all outputs against project coordinate systems and control points.

· D. Regulatory & Institutional Coordination

• Coordinate with Odisha Space Application Centre (ORSAC) or similar State Remote Sensing Agencies to obtain authenticated project maps.

• Ensure DGPS survey compliance with Ministry of Defence, Urban Development, and Forest Department standards.

• Prepare Land Schedules, Boundary Maps, and Survey Reports for official submission and approvals.

· E. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain detailed project progress reports, vendor reports, and field logs.

• Prepare presentations, drawings, and technical documentation for client review.

• Ensure data integrity, version control, and secure archiving of all survey files.

3. Required Technical Expertise

• GIS Software: ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Global Mapper

• Survey Tools: DGPS, Total Station, Drone Mapping (preferred), CORS Network Integration

• Data Formats: SHP, DWG, DXF, CSV, DEM, KML, KMZ, PDF, JPEG, PNG

• GIS Applications: WATERGEMS, SEWERGEMS, and other hydraulic modeling tools

• Coordinate Systems: UTM / WGS 84 / State Plane

4. Qualification & Experience

Educational Qualification:

• B.Tech / Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Geoinformatics Engineering

• Postgraduate Diploma or Certification in GIS / Remote Sensing preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 4–10 years in managing GIS/DGPS/Topographical survey projects for government or infrastructure clients.

• Experience in Defence, Forest, or Urban Infrastructure surveys preferred.

• Strong technical knowledge of GIS and Survey technologies

• Sound understanding of government project standards (ORSAC, ISRO, Survey of India, etc.)

• Authenticated DGPS Survey Maps (ORSAC-approved or equivalent)

• Land Schedule Reports and Boundary Delineation Maps

• Topographic and Contour Plans (1:500 / 1:1000 / 1:4000 / 1:8000 scale)

• GIS and CAD Files in SHP, DWG, DXF, CSV, DEM, KML, KMZ formats

• Project Completion and Vendor Evaluation Reports

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
