Position Overview

VDI Operations Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily

    VDI operations

    including task scheduling, ticket queue ownership, and on-call coordination.
  • Act as the

    primary escalation point

    for L2/L3 incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide the operations team to maintain service quality, stability, and performance standards.
  • Generate

    daily and weekly operational reports

    covering ticket trends, incident summaries, and SLA adherence.
  • Identify and drive

    process improvements and automation

    to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
  • Collaborate with

    infrastructure, security, and application teams

    for patching, upgrades, and change management activities.
  • Participate in

    client review meetings

    , presenting performance dashboards and improvement initiatives.

Must Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience:

    9+ years in IT/EUC with at least

    5+ years in VDI environments

    (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon).
  • Leadership:

    2–4 years of experience in a

    lead or supervisory role

    , managing or coordinating operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of

    ITIL processes

    (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
  • Expertise in

    troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining large-scale VDI environments

    .
  • Proficiency in

    PowerShell scripting

    and automation tools for reporting and task management.
  • Hands-on experience with

    ITSM tools

    (ServiceNow preferred) for queue and incident management.
  • Excellent

    communication and coordination skills

    for interacting with client stakeholders and global teams.

Reporting & Governance

  • Provide

    weekly operational dashboards

    and

    incident summaries

    highlighting major incidents, recurring issues, and corrective actions.
  • Participate in

    regular client meetings

    to review performance metrics, backlog, and continuous improvement initiatives.
