Role & responsibilities Conduct fixed assets sighting/verification exercises with other departments Conduct stocktake exercise Assist in quarterly GST submission Familiar with the construction-in-progress process Preparation of GST and tax for filing Complete monthly reconciliation of bank, debtors, creditors and inter-company balances Assist in coordinating with relevant departments related to cost allocation Supervise the works of the Account Assistant and maintain accounts payables (AP) & receivables (AR) and staff/project claims Prepare closing journal entry, update all balance sheet-related schedules Review payment vouchers and staff/project claims Review workers payroll Assist Finance Manager with monthly closing, audit, corporate income tax, etc Prepare budget and forecast cash flow and annual expenses/overhead Some accounting knowledge in financial instruments (e.g. right of use, hire purchase) is preferred Provide support to superiors in the analysis and study of ad-hoc projects Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities when required or as instructed Pre-requisites Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or higher may be considered 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in Accounting and Finance Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word/Excel/V look-up & pivot table) Strong working knowledge of accounting/general ledger/book-keeping Independent and able to work within tight deadlines Possess good communication and interpersonal skills Meticulous with a keen eye for detail Good team player and hands-on attitude Applicants with experience in the construction industry are preferred Good knowledge of Sage 300 software is an added advantage
