Installation : Assist in the installation and setup of new utility equipment, infrastructure, or systems. This may involve connecting utility lines, installing meters, or setting up communication networks. Emergency Response : Respond to emergency situations such as power outages, water leaks, gas leaks, and other utility-related emergencies. Follow established protocols to address emergencies and ensure public safety. Meter Reading : Collect data from utility meters to monitor consumption and ensure accurate billing. This involves recording readings, updating databases, and communicating with customers regarding usage. Customer Service : Interact with customers and the public in a courteous and professional manner. Address inquiries, concerns, and service requests, and provide information about utility services and procedures. Documentation : Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation related to maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other tasks. This documentation is essential for tracking work performed and complying with regulatory requirements. Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety regulations, protocols, and guidelines when working with utility systems, equipment, and hazardous materials. Ensure personal safety and the safety of others while on the job. Equipment Operation : Operate specialized equipment and tools required for utility maintenance and repairs.
