Job Title: Utility Manager for Mobile Battery Industry Location: Bawal Reports To: Operations Manager / Senior Operations Manager Position Overview: The Utility Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of utilities (including power systems, water, HVAC, etc.) critical to the manufacturing process in the mobile battery industry. This role ensures that all utility systems are running effectively, cost-efficiently, and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The position will involve close collaboration with engineering, production, and maintenance teams. Key Responsibilities: Utility Systems Management: Oversee and manage all utility services, including power supply, cooling systems, compressed air, water, waste management, etc., to support battery production and related operations. Monitor utility usage and identify opportunities for optimization to reduce operational costs. Ensure that all utility systems are in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for utility systems and ensure minimal disruption to production. Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts for utility-related issues and provide timely resolutions. Work with the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is maintained, serviced, and repaired regularly. Energy & Resource Management: Monitor energy consumption across utility systems and recommend energy-saving strategies. Implement and manage sustainability programs aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of utility usage. Report on utility usage trends, efficiency improvements, and cost-saving measures to senior management. Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all utility operations adhere to safety standards and legal requirements. Conduct regular audits of utility systems to ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations. Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory agencies when necessary. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Manage a team of utility operators and technicians, ensuring effective coordination and resource allocation. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand operational needs and develop solutions for utility-related challenges. Provide training and development opportunities for utility team members to enhance performance and knowledge. Project Management: Lead utility-related projects, including upgrades to existing systems or the installation of new utility services. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Monitor the progress of utility infrastructure improvements and report on project status. Qualification & Skills: Minimum B.Tech in any specialized Field Technical Skills Knowledge of utility systems (water, power, gas, waste), regulatory compliance, sustainability, risk, and asset management. Managerial Skills โ Strategic planning, budgeting, team leadership, project management, and crisis response. Communication Skills โ Stakeholder engagement, negotiation, public relations, and customer service. Analytical Skills โ Data analysis, problem-solving, and adapting to new technology.
