US process associate / Intake Coordinator

Job Description

We're looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to join us as a US Operations Coordinator in the Intake Team. As the first point of contact for patients, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and accurate intake processes. Your main responsibilities will include verifying insurance, checking eligibility, and obtaining authorizations for medical services. Responsibilities: Collect and record patient information accurately. Process incoming referrals and inquiries for medical services. Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits. Confirm insurance eligibility and accuracy of information. Determine patient eligibility for medical services based on insurance coverage. Identify any coverage limitations or exclusions. Provide clear information to patients regarding insurance coverage and financial responsibilities. Collaborate with other teams as needed. Maintain accurate records of patient intake activities. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in any field is required. Fluent in English / communication Previous experience in medical billing process preferred. Candidate should preferably have understanding of different types of insurances like Medicare, Medicaid, and Aetna and have some experience in using portals like Careport and Availity. (Not Mandatory) 1-3 years background in US medical process. Familiarity with medical terminology, billing and coding procedures, insurance guidelines, and reimbursement practices is preferred Understanding of healthcare insurance processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
