Consultant Urologist

- Deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient urology care: evaluate, diagnose, and manage a full spectrum of urological conditions across adults and adolescents.
- Perform and lead endourological and minimally invasive surgeries including ureteroscopy, PCNL, TURP and laparoscopic procedures with established perioperative protocols.
- Manage emergency urological presentations and participate in on-call rota to ensure timely surgical and critical care intervention.
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams (uro-oncology, nephrology, radiology) to define care pathways, tumor boards, and individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the hospital information system / EMR, ensure compliance with clinical governance and infection-control standards.
- Mentor junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff; contribute to quality improvement, audit and continuing medical education activities.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery and MCh/MS/DNB in Urology or equivalent recognised specialist qualification.
- Valid registration with an Indian medical council / state medical council.
- Proven clinical and surgical experience in endourology and minimally invasive urologic procedures.
- ACLS and BLS certification (current).
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and hospital information system workflows.
- Strong commitment to clinical governance, patient safety and evidence-based practice.
Preferred
- Fellowship or advanced training in endourology, uro-oncology, or minimally invasive urology.
- Experience with robotic-assisted urologic surgery.
- Track record of academic contributions: publications, conference presentations or teaching experience.
