Job Description

Overall Management of Pharmacy Department Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of Pharmacy department To supervise the working of the Senior/Junior /Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacy assistants To allot shifts and responsibilities of all the staff in the Pharmacy department To purchase drugs and other pharmaceutical preparations based on the ROL /requirements of patients through FDA licensed vendors only. To maintain records of all Purchase orders and Goods receipt note of drugs and other pharmaceutical preparations. To ensure timely availability of critical and high value drugs which are normally not stocked in the Pharmacy. To arrange for new branded medicines prescribed for an inpatient but not available in the pharmacy based on New Drug request from approved by CEO. To co-ordinate with the Drug committee in planning, organizing and directing the Drug committee policy and procedures for the hospital Pharmacy. To keep a record of reported adverse drug reaction and take corrective action. To ensure proper storage of drugs and other pharmaceutical preparations in the department. To ensure that the FEFO policy is maintained while dispensing of drugs To Co-ordinate with the CEO for purchase of costly brands /drugs (above Rs 10000/-). To ensure that drugs are not stored beyond the expiry period and arrange for disposal of the same. To ensure that the process of billing, generation of purchase order of consignment products is done after actual consumption of the drug. And submit the PO/GRN to accounts for payment processing. To arrange for the procurement of narcotic drugs as per FDA norms To ensure the safe storage of Narcotics / Schedule X drugs in The Pharmacy Store as per FDA and NABH norms. To monitor and control the medicine inventory in the department Develop and implement policies and procedures for Inventory Control and MIS development. For more details please contact on : 8879688633
