Urgently Required-Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology

Job Description

Operational To plan radiotherapy treatment as prescribed by consultant radiation oncologist. To ensure delivery, verification and audits of planned treatment parameters. To add technical and quality assurance results to the patient records. To ensure accurate patient data import, fusions and transfer between workstations. To ensure optimum functional performance, calibration, quality assurance and maintenance of Radiation Therapy equipments. To supervise patient treatment special devices (blocks, compensators, molds etc. To plan new installation and modify existing ones where ever necessary. To prepare Technical Specification for purchase of new RT equipments, their Acceptance and Commissioning. To coordinate with consultants, equipment suppliers, engineers, hospital Bio-Medical & maintenance departments and regulatory authorities. To supervise and monitor source transfer operations of Brachytherapy unit and its Calibration. To supervise &coordinate with all concerned for simulation, planning and execution of planned treatment for external beam radiotherapy and Brachytherapy. To maintain Patient specific dosimeter & QA records. To ensure Inventory & Disposal of Brachytherapy Sources To maintain Equipment log books To ensure CT, MRI & PET Image data processing & installation. To monitor& maintain the Dose & Health Records of those working in the department. To carry out any other work assigned by the management
