Designation: Officer/ Sr. Officer - EHS Department: Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Location: Pipan, Sanand, Ahmedabad Key Responsibilities: Ensure safety equipment (Fire Hydrant systems, Fire Alarm systems, Fire extinguishers, etc.) are in working order and regularly maintained. Oversee the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals, hazardous waste, and biomedical waste in accordance with safety guidelines. Participate in fire drills, mock drills, and safety committee meetings to ensure compliance. Implement and ensure compliance with all EHS policies, SOPs, and safety standards. Manage monthly environmental monitoring with third-party services. Conduct EHS training sessions based on the training calendar. Maintain and update all relevant documentation as per defined frequencies. Respond quickly and effectively during firefighting, rescue, and other emergency situations. Identify and report unsafe conditions & unsafe practices within the plant, ensuring corrective action. Supervise the operation and compliance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). Actively participate in events like Safety Week and Environment Day. Can work in shifts to ensure continuous compliance with all EHS SOPs and policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: - Educational Qualification : Diploma in Industrial Safety (DIS) or Post-Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS). - Relevant experience: Minimum 2 to 4 years experience as Safety Officer is preferred.
