Urgent Opening for Store Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Assistant with 2-5 years of experience in the food manufacturing or bakery industry. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and organized individual who can manage daily store operations, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with all food safety and quality standards. This role is crucial for our team, as you will be the key to ensuring our products are stored and managed efficiently from production to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Accurately track and manage all incoming and outgoing raw materials and finished goods. Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain precise inventory records.
• Receiving and Dispatching: Inspect all deliveries for quality and quantity, ensuring they meet our standards. Prepare and package products for dispatch, verifying that all orders are complete and accurate before they leave the facility.
• Stock Rotation (FIFO/FEFO): Implement and enforce a strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expiry, First-Out (FEFO) system to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
• Store Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store and storage area. Ensure all products are correctly labeled and stored in their designated locations according to food safety regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all stock movements, including receiving slips, dispatch notes, and inventory reports.
• Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Equipment Maintenance: Report any issues with store equipment or machinery promptly to the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2-5 years of proven experience as a Store Assistant, Storekeeper, or similar role, specifically within the food manufacturing or bakery industry.
• Knowledge: A solid understanding of inventory management principles, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP).
• Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software or systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• The ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
• Effective communication skills.
