Position Overview

The

Program Manager – PMKVY Project

will be responsible for managing and monitoring the end-to-end implementation of skill development programs under PMKVY and other schemes within the assigned district(s). The role involves leading training centre operations, ensuring adherence to guidelines, achieving targets, and maintaining high-quality standards in program execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of Government Skill Development Schemes (PMKVY, PMKK, State Missions, etc.) at the location.
  • Manage CSR-funded training projects and ensure compliance with donor and project requirements.
  • Design and implement Paid Training models in collaboration with college management and local institutions.
  • Ensure training centre set-up, lab equipment, branding, and infrastructure readiness as per project affiliation and NSDC/SSDM guidelines.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the training centre, including staff performance and resource utilization.
  • Achieve enrolment, training, assessment, certification, and placement targets as per work order timelines.
  • Ensure full compliance with scheme guidelines, documentation requirements, and readiness for audits or inspections.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of trainers, mobilizers, MIS executives, and placement officers.
  • Monitor training delivery quality and implement measures to reduce trainee dropouts.
  • Build strong relationships with local government bodies, industry partners, and District Skill Committees.
  • Plan and execute mobilization drives and awareness campaigns in coordination with local stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports, MIS data, and centre performance updates to the state office or head office.
  • Drive placement initiatives and maintain a strong employer and industry database for job linkage.
  • Ensure timely completion of all internal and external audits, reviews, and inspections.
  • Address grievances of trainees and staff to ensure effective and smooth centre operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Management, Social Work, Engineering, Economics, Development Studies, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 5–8 years of experience in skill development, livelihood, or government-funded projects.
  • Prior experience in PMKVY, PMKK, NSDC, or SSDM projects is preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of PMKVY guidelines, NSDC processes, and operational documentation.
  • Excellent people management, planning, and project coordination skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and portals such as SMART and SDMS.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned district and state.
