As a Resident Engineer at UNICO Engineering, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Acting as an owners representative and attending client and contractor meetings - Reviewing plans and specifications to ensure compliance with documents - Providing project documentation such as letters, RFI/Submittal responses, and change orders - Overseeing field inspection and supervising project inspection teams - Offering technical guidance and quality assurance - Maintaining project controls including cost and schedule management To excel in this role, you should have: - Experience leading local, state, and federally funded transportation contracts in Southern California - 8+ years of relevant industry experience in transportation, transit, or operational facilities projects - Familiarity with various types of infrastructure projects including civil improvements, structural facilities, electrical and mechanical systems, and more - Strong verbal and written communication skills Qualifications required for this position include: - BS in Construction Management, Civil, or Structural Engineering - Registered Professional Engineer in California - 10+ years of industry experience in a related discipline - 5 years of experience managing construction projects or working as a resident engineer for a public agency - Possession of a valid driver's license and clear DMV record - Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check UNICO Engineering offers a competitive salary, generous benefits, and ample opportunities for career growth in a fun and flexible work environment.
